Robot Ball Challenge

23,24,25, June-2025

Inspired by basketball, this competition challenges participants to build robots that move and shoot balls into baskets. It promotes creativity, technical skills, and practical problem-solving among young participants.

Arena

  1. Size: 360×180 cm, walls 15 cm high
  2. Material: Laminated MDF
  3. Ball Storage: Two boxes on each side, each containing six balls of different colors for each team
  4. Baskets: Two per team, positioned at 15 cm and 25 cm heights
  5. Balls: 7 cm diameter (±1 cm), weight 5-50g

Team

  1. Age Requirement: 11-13 years
  2. Team Members: Maximum of 2 participants per team

Robot

  1. Parts: Must use Iran Robotics components or equivalent
  2. Power Supply: Max 12V, 2A (only 3-cell lithium-ion batteries allowed)
  3. Motors: Only ZGA25R or ETNOM motors (100-1000 RPM) allowed
  4. Control: Can be wired or wireless
  5. Battery & Receiver Installation: Dedicated space required; failure to comply may result in disqualification
  6. Ball Collection & Shooting Mechanism: Open-ended; teams can design their own system
  7. Battery Charge: Teams must bring fully charged batteries; organizers are not responsible for low battery issues
